With the PatientConcept system, we have developed an innovative digital therapy assistance system to optimize adherence through intensive contact between the patient and the treating physician’s office. PatientConcept is easy, convenient and safe to use and saves doctors and practice staff time and effort.

According to the Robert Koch Institute, 40 percent of all diseases in Germany are chronic and require long-term therapy. Patient adherence is critical to the success of long-term therapy, and it is not the number of medical consultations that matters, but patient retention at the treatment center or physician’s office.

Secure data transfer

PatientConcept can be used completely anonymously. The data is protected by a security ID, the transmission is pseudonymized and SSL encrypted. Data storage takes place in highly secure data centers located in Germany in accordance with the EU Data Protection Directive.

Certified medical device

PatientConcept carries a CE mark according to the quality management specification to distribute medical software in Europe and is certified as an active Class I medical device according to Annex VII of the Medical Device Directive (MDD) 93/42/EEC.

Without registration

Neither registration nor the provision of personal data is required to use the PatientConcept app.
A PatientConcept ID enables anonymous use. The personal consent of the users is required for decryption of the data in the treating practice.

Independent from

your practice software

PatientConcept is an independent system for therapy assistance and consists of a mobile app and a browser-based portal for therapy monitoring in the treating practice. A complex installation of the system is not necessary, since the practice portal is called up in the browser. PatientConcept is therefore maintenance-free and requires no additional hardware. PatientConcept thus offers maximum flexibility for use in practices and treatment centers.

User-friendly administration area

PatientConcept can be easily managed in the treatment centers and practices on a PC with an Internet connection. The provision of additional hardware installation of additional software is not necessary. The previously used practice software can continue to be used in parallel. Administration of therapy data received from the app is done online via the Internet browser in an encrypted user area.

Making internal processes transparent

The transmission of current information about the practice, news, offers, appointment and prescription requests, can be processed directly in the practice portal in an uncomplicated and fast way and transmitted as a push message to the smartphone of the patients. This makes communication between the doctor’s office and patients more transparent and independent of office hours and opening times. The ability to customize PatientConcept allows practices and treatment centers to communicate their service offerings in their own corporate design.

Data security

For your patients, the PatientConcept mobile app is available free of charge for mobile devices with iOS and Android operating systems in the Apple and Google app stores.

The PatientConcept system does not collect identifiable data of the app users. Die Datenübertragung zwischen mobiler App und dem Praxenportal betrifft lediglich nicht identifizierbare, pseudonymisierte Daten der App-Nutzer. Personal data of your patients will not be transferred via app. A unique security ID and SSL encryption provide additional security for data exchange.

The PatientConcept app does not store any personal data and can be used completely anonymously. Transferred data can only be decrypted in participating practices via an ID, and this only with the consent of the app users. The data transmission is pseudonymized and with SSL encryption.

Data storage takes place in highly secure data centers located in Germany in accordance with German data protection law and in compliance with the regulations and EU directives on data protection in accordance with GDPR.
